OneCNC Series Updates

This is a history of all OneCNC updates.

You may notice sometimes there can be a jump in version numbers.

This is due to intensive and continual internal testing where we thoroughly test versions before releasing proven functional updates.

OneCNCXR6 40.24

OneCNCXR6 Update Version 40.24 has been released and is now available in the update server.

There are quite a few changes and updates in tis version due to the complexity of supporting so many OS including 32 bit and 64 bit

Support for GUI 768 pixel height.

There were many more adjustments required to make OneCNCXR6 fully compatible with this GUI pixel height. This work is now complete and unless you are actually installing OneCNC and using it on a screen limited to 768 pixels you would not see the difference because it automatically re-configures in size to suit that resolution.

Drill Wizard Function

There were adjustments made so that drilling cycles from OneCNCXR5 are now fully compatible in OneCNCXR6
These changes were necessary in case the file was created in the earlier version and for some reason edited in the later version.
This was because OneCNCXR6 now recognises the material top whereas previously that was not the case.

Multi Axis Drilling
There were adjustments made to the Multi Axis drilling cycles to make them compatible with files previously made in earlier versions of OneCNC and now editing the file in OneCNCXR6.

Open Pocket Function
The open pocket from boundaries was modified as in some cases in some operating systems the pocket finish dialog was showing when it was not meant to be.

In open pocket the finish profiles if required are separately selected.

HS Z Level Roughing
The HS Z level rough function has had aditional gouge safety adjustments due to now having the ability for collision checking.

The Section Function
The add section to screen function has had the entities optimized to minimise the output entities when adding the entities to the screen for further use..

Lathe Turn Face Function
There was an adjustment and improvement in Lathe Turn and Face turning on the backside or approaching the part from the from the chuck or left side.

OneCNCXR6 40.20

OneCNCXR6 Update version 40.20 has been released and is available in the update server.

New Features and adjustments in OneCNCXR6 version 40.20

New Simulation Screen size support
The present user release of version 40.18 the screen size of the simulation does not allow for all control settings in a height resolution of 768 pixel size.
The new OneCNCXR6 40.20 version now permits control in this screen size which is required sometimes used in laptops.

This setting is automatic when installed on this size screen

New Quick Check Turbo Simulation
OneCNCXR6 40.20 simulation now has a new turbo setting for 3 axis quick simulation of huge files.
This function developed as a quick check only without support for multi axis or collision checking.
For collision checking use the normal simulation quality setting.

The new Turbo Quick Check function supports from stock solid as well as extents and boundary control.

Adjustments
The Hole wizard chamfer size selection was corrected.
When Selecting dimensions for editing the dimension colours were corrected to make colours and dimensions selectable.
Rhino import in 32 bit versions was corrected to allow importing Rhino in 32 bit.versions.
Repositioning function was adjusted to show correct direction in simulation and preview.
Wizard Drilling was corrected to allow users to use work shift to set the part top after setting the part with a Z zero at the part bottom then continue to select drilling from geometry.

OneCNCXR6 40.18

OneCNCXR6 has been released and the current version is 40.18

The changes in this version compared to the last version of OneCNCXR5 are as follows:

For users that have purchased new licences or purchased upgrade licences this version is available for download from the OneCNC updates server.

OneCNC is proud to announce OneCNCXR6 is officially released as a new upgrade of the software simultaneously released in all versions.OneCNC advises that all new full systems purchased since 1st March 2014 are eligible for a free upgrade to OneCNCXR6 same version purchased od OneCNCXR5.

Overview of OneCNCXR6

There are many exclusive new features in OneCNCXR6 including 2D and 3D total collision checking for tooling and machined parts in the milling versions. OneCNCXR6 continues the tradition of having a free maintenance plan for the life of the software until the next version is released ensuring that the software is kept up-to-date with free downloads and support from the update server during this time. OneCNCXR6 is the most technologically advanced release developed in the 30 plus of years OneCNC development.

OneCNCXR6 is about improving the technology of the overall systems. This major undertaking provides a complete 64 Bit application release version still supports a 32 Bit application by automatic install.

OneCNCXR6 utilizes the latest Windows 8 technologies including native 64-bit support resulting in superior performance, especially when working on large or complex designs. OneCNC understands that many users in manufacturing still use earlier Windows XP versions and still supports these users with an automated installation for 32 Bit versions.

OneCNCXR6 is designed to take advantage of the latest multi-core systems. Multi-core depending on the operating system support can dramatically increase speed generation of some complex tool paths and is beneficial not only when generating multiple operations or performing simulation tasks, but also when generating a single tool paths.

All of this happens from an automated installation that checks the operating system being used and installs the most advanced version to suit the Windows version of the user’s operating system on the PC.

OneCNCXR6 has new finishing tool paths that are set to revolutionize the ability of finish machining 3D models with a unique method of automated 3D offset boundary tool paths. Singular or multiple surfaces of a model can be selected for area machining without the need to create boundaries. OneCNCXR6 automatically creates these 3 D offset boundaries so that the whole area right to the edge is machined. This now makes it possible to select surfaces and use a different sized tool to the next adjacent surface as an example. OneCNCXR6 also now provides a complete constant offset 3D boundary machining controlled by the part boundary or custom created boundaries.

OneCNCXR6 includes all of the conventional machining strategies of previous systems including planar, Z Level, pocket, constant offset, radial, spiral and pencil tool paths, all of these have been enhanced to take advantage of new tolerances optimization and advanced operating systems. OneCNCXR6 has taken these strategies further by refining tolerances and finishes that help to reduce machining time and increase tool and machine tool life.

OneCNCXR6 now contains ability to allow for expansion of functionality into may other areas of CAD and CAM during the life of the software. Our current users know OneCNC constantly adds new features and functionality on an ongoing basis during the life of the software.

OneCNC is now a leading CAM solution providing users with productivity, reliability and flexibility. Improving these attributes in any company helps increase profitability.
