OneCNCXR4 20.33
We have now added import of DXF and DWG to the file imports.
This DXF/DWG is a totally new developed functionality and completely replaces our previous import of DXF.
NOTE: IMPORTANT to note is the we now bring in every line-type that AutoCAD uses.
Very important to note is that OneCNC now imports the colours as drawn in the originating CAD.
This can mean that you may need to change screen colours to see some colours for example if the lines are drawn in black and you are using a black screen.
OneCNC now imports all the styles as drawn in AutoCAD and this includes the custom dashed centre and all their style types.
So that they do not create problems in OneCNC database of lines and because OneCNC uses dashed lines as rapid etc for safety when we import DXF/DWG all the custom styles we insert then as just short lines. Just as they were created in the originating CAD so they do not become dashed lines as OneCNC knows them.
Sometimes this can be many hundreds of short lines depicting the hidden outline. This is necessary because in AutoCAD for example a user can make virtually unlimited line types that are not suitable types for OneCNC. This was necessary in OneCNC so that it could replicate the drawing as drawn in the originating CAD.
This of course means that a user is not able to select all these odd type dashed or centre type user created styles as a chain. To cut the custom lines they need to be re-drawn in standard line type. The original custom style dashed lines should only be hidden lines anyway and not required for cutting.
If you need to use the dashed lines as a cutting chain they will need to be redraw the required in line entities so they are suitable for the required purpose.
The DWG/DXF we now import ASCII or binary DXF and DWG files and this is automatically determined on selection of the file for import.
