OneCNC Series Updates

This is a history of all OneCNC updates.

You may notice sometimes there can be a jump in version numbers.

This is due to intensive and continual internal testing where we thoroughly test versions before releasing proven functional updates.

OneCNCXR 6.38

Update 6.38 released 19th April 2005

This update only applies to OneCNCXR Lathe and OneCNCXR Profiler

There is no need for updates for other software versions because there are no alterations since 6.36 although all versions now carry the 6.38 version number.

All products other than profiler and lathe are current at version 6.36

OneCNCXR Profiler and OneCNCXR Express IMPORTANT update

There was an adjustment made to the automatic offset function to correct anomalies of imported profiles where the start and end points were not correctly sequenced in the files. OneCNCXR now has automatic logic for correcting this. This is an important update and should be immediately updated for Profiler users.

OneCNCXR Lathe Professional and Express

A minor correction was made to the cycle rough with finish preview to better accurately display only in preview.

OneCNCXR Lathe Professional and Express

An Important update:

Some adjustments were made to the turn face rough function when using the cycle and cycle finish. This is an important update for lathe users.

OneCNCXR Profiler Professional and Express versions.

An Important update:

An adjustment was made to the kerf applied by the machine controller. Although we realise that most users use the automatic kerf offset whe OneCNC offsets for the kerf automatically but OneCNC has methods for atdding the kerf using the machine control. Th applies the G41 or G42 into the profiles sy that the kerf is applied by a setting at the machine control. This adjustment fixes the situation where the G41/42 was not being output.

OneCNCXR 6.35

Update 6.35 released 7th February 2005

We have released a new update in conjunction with the release of OneCNCXR Profiler and OneCNCXR Lathe.

Updated functionality included in this update is as follows.

There has been a major interface of all the software versions.

OneCNCXR Mill Expert
OneCNCXR Mill Professional
OneCNCXR Mill Advantage
OneCNCXR Mill Express
OneCNCXR Lathe Professional
OneCNCXR Lathe Express
OneCNCXR Profiler Professional
OneCNCXR Profiler Express
OneCNCXR Solid Creator

All of these versions now have a common file sytem which allows for example a part to be modeled in OneCNCXR Solid Creator then use any of the OneCNCXR Mill Software to CAM the model. Another example would be you could design and model the part in OneCNCXR Expert perform all the milling operations in the CAM and then pass the file to the lathe to have any Lathe CAM performed there. The role could be reversed if you have OneCNCXR Lathe Professional which also has solids creation.

Translator Updates

Translators have been modified to handle uptodate versions of modelers of the 2005 series Solidworks and others.

Drilling Functions

The drilling functions have been modified to handle drilling above or below the work shift Z 0.0 positions.

Milling Profile

The Milling profile was adjusted to handle minute arcs in the machine offset code.

Other Adjustments

Numerous adjustments were made to the CAD and CAM due to situations we have found in our rigorous quality control testing all of a small nature and are not specifically listed.

Increased Performance

Due to this you will find increased performance in some of the machining functionality and also some of the modeling functions including filleting merging and display.

File Compatability with earlies versions

The CAM files from 6.35 are not backward compatible with earlier versions. This does not affect the CAD section so if you load a 6.35 XFA into an earlier version the NCmanager information will need to be created. Earlier version XFA files are compatible in 6.53. Forward compatability is maintained but not backwards.

Help Files

There has been a massive update of the OneCNCXR help files which have been completely updated to reflect the additions and corrections that have been made since the release of the XR series.
